What does “mg/unit” mean on a COA?

Short answer

mg/unit means milligrams per unit: the amount the laboratory measured in one unit of the sample it was sent. On Clean Peptide's lot pages it appears once, for BPC-157 20 mg, lot ACE-0594510, where Accurate Test Labs reports 20.99 mg/unit of BPC-157. The certificate does not define the unit; it lists the sample type as a vial and the labelled content as 20.

How each certificate gives the measured amount

LaboratoryUnit printedExampleFigure
Accurate Test Labs mg/unit BPC-157 20 mg 20.99 mg/unit
ILS Laboratories mg (Net Peptide Content) TB-500 10 mg 10.31mg
HYTE Research Division, vials mg (Net Quantity) KPV 10 mg (certificate) 12.94mg
HYTE Research Division, sprays mg/mL DSIP Spray 20 mL 1.18mg/mL
HYTE Research Division, Selank Spray mg for the bottle Selank Spray 20 mL 19.69mg
Laboratory not named on the lot page mg (Quantity) Epithalon 10 mg 10.44 mg

Read from the live lot pages on 30 October 2026. KPV is read from the certificate image.

On the BPC-157 20 mg certificate the figure sits in a "Peptides" section: BPC-157, 20.99 mg/unit, status Tested, and a total of 20.99. The same certificate gives purity as 99.8% and identity as confirmed. Against the 20 mg label, 20.99 is 105.0%.

The units differ by laboratory. For the freeze-dried vials, both are a weight of peptide: ILS Laboratories prints plain mg against a labelled content of 10mg on TB-500, and Accurate Test Labs prints mg/unit against a labelled content of 20. For the sprays, mg/mL is a concentration; the bottle holds 20 mL.
