GLP-2 T (GLP-2 Tirz, GLP2-T, GLP 2T) is tirzepatide (LY3298176), Eli Lilly's dual agonist of the GIP and GLP-1 receptors. This GLP-2 T research peptide is lyophilised tirzepatide in 20 mg and 30 mg vials, each size with its own lot certificate. What is tirzepatide? Tirzepatide is a 39-residue synthetic peptide that Eli Lilly built on the sequence of GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide). One molecule activates two receptors: the GIP receptor (GIPR) and the GLP-1 receptor (GLP1R). Lilly's pharmacology work describes it as "imbalanced": at the exposures used in trials it engages the GIP receptor more than the GLP-1 receptor, and at the GLP-1 receptor it favours cAMP signalling over β-arrestin recruitment. Two Aib residues protect it from enzymatic cleavage, and a C20 fatty diacid on lysine 20 binds albumin, giving an elimination half-life of about five days.

It sits between the two other incretin molecules we stock: semaglutide acts on one receptor (GLP-1R), tirzepatide on two, and retatrutide adds a third (the glucagon receptor). See retatrutide vs tirzepatide.
“GLP-2” here is a shop label for “two receptors”, not a scientific name. Tirzepatide is not a GLP-2 analogue: GLP-2 is a separate intestinal hormone with its own receptor, and tirzepatide does not act on it. Research catalogues adopted “GLP-2 T” for tirzepatide the way they use “GLP-3 R” for the triple agonist retatrutide. This product was listed as GLP-2 T and renamed GLP-2 Tirz in October 2026; it is the same material, and the certificates still use the older code names. More in GLP-1 vs GLP-2 vs GLP-3: what the names mean.

Each size is filled from its own lot and tested separately, so the certificates come from different laboratories: HYTE Research Division for the 20 mg lot and Accurate Test Labs for the 30 mg lot. The table lists what each one measured:

Tirzepatide has one of the largest clinical programmes of any peptide: the SURPASS trials in type 2 diabetes and the SURMOUNT trials in obesity, all Lilly-sponsored. Each link goes to the PubMed record.
Tirzepatide is also the comparator in later trials, including retatrutide’s TRIUMPH-5 (NCT06662383), still running as of October 2026.
Tirzepatide is an FDA-approved drug, sold by Eli Lilly as Mounjaro (approved 13 May 2022, for type 2 diabetes) and Zepbound (approved 8 November 2023, for chronic weight management, and later for obstructive sleep apnoea in adults with obesity). Mounjaro prescribing information, DailyMed. Clean Peptide’s GLP-2 Tirz is a laboratory reference material, not Lilly’s product, and is not for human or veterinary use.
Every figure below is transcribed from the paperwork for this compound.
GLP-2 Tirz is our name for tirzepatide (LY3298176), Eli Lilly’s 39-residue dual agonist of the GIP and GLP-1 receptors. It was listed as GLP-2 T before October 2026; the material is the same.
No. “GLP-2” in the product name is a catalogue label for a two-receptor agonist. GLP-2 is a separate intestinal hormone, and tirzepatide does not act on its receptor. It acts on the GIP and GLP-1 receptors.
4813.53 Da according to the FDA label, for C225H348N48O68. The CAS number is 2023788-19-2 and the PubChem CID is 156588324.
Both are Eli Lilly peptides built on the GIP backbone with a C20 fatty diacid. Tirzepatide activates two receptors (GIPR and GLP-1R); retatrutide activates those two plus the glucagon receptor. Tirzepatide is FDA-approved; retatrutide is still investigational.
Yes, as Eli Lilly’s Mounjaro (May 2022, type 2 diabetes) and Zepbound (November 2023, chronic weight management). Clean Peptide’s GLP-2 Tirz is a laboratory reference material, not Lilly’s product.
Each size has its own certificate, listed on this page with lot number, laboratory, test date, HPLC purity, measured content where reported, and identity. The 20 mg lot was tested by HYTE Research Division and the 30 mg lot by Accurate Test Labs.
Each size ships against the certificate issued for its own fill — purity, identity and batch, on file before you buy.
