A survodutide COA should name survodutide (BI 456906) on its identity line and report HPLC purity and measured content for the lot and size you buy. Clean Peptide sells survodutide as a 10 mg vial with an ILS Laboratories certificate. The current lot, ACE-6990852, measured 10.44 mg at 99.90% HPLC purity, with survodutide identity confirmed against a reference standard and fentanyl, heavy-metal, sterility and endotoxin results on the same certificate.
This page reads that certificate line by line, and explains what it can and cannot show for a peptide that carries a fatty-acid side chain and a non-standard amino acid. What survodutide is and how it fits among the newer incretin peptides is covered in next-generation incretins; it is not repeated here.
The molecule the certificate should name
| Names | Survodutide, BI 456906, BI-456906 |
|---|---|
| Class | Dual glucagon receptor and GLP-1 receptor agonist, built on a modified glucagon sequence |
| Length | 29 residues |
| Modifications | Ac4c (1-aminocyclobutane-1-carboxylic acid) at position 2; lysine 24 acylated with a C18 fatty diacid through a γGlu and Gly-Gly-Ser-Gly-Ser-Gly linker; C-terminal amide |
| Formula and weight | C192H289N47O61, 4231.63 g/mol |
| CAS number | 2805997-46-8 |
Identity data as listed on our survodutide product page (WHO proposed INN list 128, the GSRS substance registry, KEGG DRUG D12898 and PubChem).
Survodutide is sold under its own name and its development code. It is not one of the “GLP” code names some sellers use for tirzepatide and retatrutide (see GLP-1 vs GLP-2 vs GLP-3), so the certificate should say survodutide outright.
The survodutide certificate, line by line
| Line on the certificate | What it reads | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Title and lot | Survodutide, 10 mg; lot ACE-6990852; COA-2026-EK39ZB |
The molecule by name, the labelled size and the lot the result belongs to. |
| Received / analysed | 27 August 2026 / 3 September 2026 |
When ILS received the sample and when it ran the panel. |
| Peptide purity (HPLC) | 99.90%, spec 95.0% or higher: pass |
The survodutide peak’s share of the peptide-related peaks at 214 nm. ILS caps reported purity at 99.9%, so this means at or above the cap. |
| Net peptide content | 10.44 mg, “Report Only” |
Milligrams of peptide measured in the vial: 104.4% of the 10 mg label. No pass or fail limit is set. |
| Identity (HPLC-RTM) | Survodutide: confirmed |
The sample’s main peak matched a survodutide reference standard by retention time. |
| HPLC chromatogram | UV trace at 214 nm, one dominant peak |
The run behind the purity figure, printed on the certificate. |
| Fentanyl screen | Immunoassay, 50 ng/mL cutoff: not detected |
No fentanyl above the cutoff. |
| Heavy metals (ICP-MS) | As, Cd, Pb, Hg, Cr: not detected |
None detected. The limits printed are “not more than” 1.5, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 and 10.0 ppm. |
| Sterility (PCR) | No growth: pass |
No microbial growth detected in the sample. |
| Endotoxin (USP <85>) | 0.101 EU/mL, “Report Result” |
A measured value with no pass or fail line; ILS notes that acceptable limits depend on product type and matrix. |
Transcribed in October 2026 from the ILS certificate image on the lot page and checked against ILS’s portal record on 30 October 2026. The percentage of label is simple arithmetic on the certificate’s figure.
What HPLC can and cannot show for survodutide
Part of survodutide’s 4231.63 g/mol sits outside its 29 amino acids, in the fatty diacid and the linker on lysine 24. Position 2 carries Ac4c, an amino acid that is not one of the standard twenty. Both are part of the molecule’s identity.
The certificate confirms identity by HPLC retention time: the sample’s peak is compared with a survodutide reference standard run the same way. That is a comparison with a reference, not a measurement of structure. It does not report a molecular mass, so it does not separately confirm the side chain, the linker or the Ac4c residue. A mass measurement would; this certificate does not include one. Our guide to peptide testing compares the two methods.
The purity figure has the same scope. ILS’s notes say it is the target peptide’s share of all peptide-related peaks at 214 nm, and that non-peptide process-related impurities, if detected, are left out of the calculation.
What to check on any survodutide certificate
- The identity line names survodutide (or BI 456906) with the method, not a code name or a class such as “GLP”.
- The lot and size match the vial. Our survodutide is sold in one size, 10 mg, with one current lot.
- Purity and measured content are both reported, in % and in mg.
- The method is stated, so you know whether identity is by retention time or by mass.
- The rest of the panel is stated: contaminant screen, heavy metals, sterility and endotoxin, or a note that they were not tested.
- It can be checked with the laboratory. The lot page links to ILS’s own record. See how to verify a peptide COA.

Where to buy survodutide with a third-party COA
Clean Peptide is a US store, cleanpeptide.com, operated by Helios LLC in Winston-Salem, North Carolina (about us). It sells survodutide as a 10 mg lyophilised vial for laboratory research only, and publishes each lot’s certificate on the product page and in the COA library. For the certificates of a related incretin peptide, see the retatrutide COA guide.
