What is the Wolverine peptide blend?
“Wolverine” is a market nickname for the pairing of two research peptides: BPC-157, a 15-residue fragment of a gastric juice protein, and TB-500, the N-acetylated actin-binding fragment of thymosin beta-4. Sellers use it for this two-peptide blend and for the same pair bought as separate vials, which is usually called the Wolverine stack. The name is not consistent everywhere: FDA’s 2026 briefing quotes one website applying it to BPC-157 alone.
This blend is a 1:1 mixture by mass. On the current certificates, the 10 mg vial measured 5.25 mg of each peptide and the 20 mg vial 10.45 mg of each.
What is in the blend
BPC-157
TB-500
What it is
Synthetic 15-residue fragment of a human gastric juice protein (“body protection compound”)
N-acetylated fragment 17–23 of thymosin beta-4, its actin-binding region
TB-500 is not the same substance as full-length thymosin beta-4 (43 residues). FDA’s 2026 briefing makes the point explicitly, and human trials of thymosin beta-4 should not be read as TB-500 evidence.
Certificates for the current lots
Both sizes were analysed by ILS Laboratories in San Diego, which states ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation for activities within its published scope. Each certificate confirms both peptides by HPLC retention time and measures the content of each:

Published research on BPC-157 and TB-500
Studied together
Only one controlled study has tested the pair. In rats with a repaired Achilles tendon, TB-500 alone improved load to failure and histology scores against controls, BPC-157 alone improved numerically, and the combination showed no additional benefit over either peptide alone. The authors call it exploratory. Effects of BPC-157 and TB-500 on Achilles tendon healing in rats: A histopathological and biomechanical study. Biçer O, et al. Joint Diseases and Related Surgery, 2026.
BPC-157, pharmacokinetics (rats and dogs, 2022). The intact peptide’s elimination half-life was under 30 minutes and it broke down quickly into small fragments and amino acids. He L, et al. Frontiers in Pharmacology, 2022.
The actin-binding motif (2003). The seven-residue LKKTETQ motif matched full-length thymosin beta-4 in endothelial migration and vessel-sprouting assays. The actin binding site on thymosin beta4 promotes angiogenesis. Philp D, et al. FASEB Journal, 2003.
TB-500 metabolites (2024). In rats TB-500 was broken down to Ac-LK and Ac-LKK; in a fibroblast scratch assay only the metabolite Ac-LKKTE showed significant wound-healing activity. Rahaman KA, et al. Journal of Chromatography B, 2024.
Human data are thin. BPC-157 has three small uncontrolled reports from one US clinic; FDA found no clinical studies of TB-500 in humans.
Regulatory status
Neither peptide is an approved drug. FDA placed both in its compounding safety-risk category in September 2023; they are now listed there as nominated-but-withdrawn, and at a July 2026 advisory meeting FDA proposed not adding either to the 503A bulks list. WADA’s 2026 Prohibited List names BPC-157 (S0) and TB-500 (S2.3). FDA compounding safety-risk list; WADA 2026 Prohibited List. This blend is a laboratory reference material only.

QuestionsBPC-157 / TB-500 Blend: frequently asked
What is the Wolverine peptide?+
“Wolverine” is a market nickname for BPC-157 and TB-500 together. This product is that pair as a 1:1 blend in one vial.
What is in the BPC-157 / TB-500 blend?+
Equal parts by mass of BPC-157 (GEPPPGKPADDAGLV) and TB-500 (Ac-LKKTETQ). The current 10 mg lot measured 5.25 mg of each; the 20 mg lot 10.45 mg of each.
Is TB-500 the same as thymosin beta-4?+
No. TB-500 is the N-acetylated seven-residue fragment 17-23 of thymosin beta-4. Full-length thymosin beta-4 has 43 residues, and FDA notes the two are not the same substance.
Has the BPC-157 and TB-500 combination been studied?+
One controlled study exists: a 2026 rat Achilles tendon study in which the combination showed no additional benefit over either peptide alone.
What is the difference between the Wolverine blend and the Wolverine stack?+
Same two peptides. The blend is both in one vial; the stack usually means BPC-157 and TB-500 bought as separate vials.
What sizes is the blend sold in?+
10 mg and 20 mg vials. Each size has its own ILS Laboratories certificate on this page.
